Compassionate, holistic care
tailored to you.
Originally from the Bay Area and raised in Austin, Texas, I bring a diverse background and a compassionate approach to my practice. I earned my medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed my psychiatric training at Stanford University School of Medicine, where I was selected to be a Chief Resident in my final year. Currently, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford and recently served as an Assistant Training Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program (2022–2024). In this leadership role, I focused on enhancing the didactic curriculum, promoting resident wellness, fostering community building, and more.
At Stanford, I've had the privilege of working in the Women’s Wellness and Bipolar Disorder subspecialty clinics. I’ve especially enjoyed working closely with undergraduate and graduate students through Vaden Health Services. These experiences have deepened my expertise and reinforced my commitment to providing comprehensive mental health care.
In my private practice, I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma-related disorders. I offer both medication management and therapy services, integrating clinical expertise with the latest scientific research to create an individualized treatment plan for each of my patients.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), complemented by advanced training from the Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. Additionally, I incorporate elements of other therapy approaches, including mindfulness, to provide a well-rounded treatment experience.
I specialize in working with individuals eager to explore their personal and professional identities, cultural backgrounds, interpersonal relationships, values, aspirations, and significant life experiences. After a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, I collaborate with patients to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include a blend of psychotherapy, evidence-based medications, and lifestyle interventions.
My Commitment to You
My goal is to support you in overcoming challenges and experiencing a life of meaning and fulfillment. I am dedicated to listening carefully and attentively, understanding your unique situation, and empowering you to reach your goals.
